Performance query of 64 bit

    Im curious about 64 bit opterons and athlons.

    Assuming everything is simple and a 2GHz Athlon XP gets a performance score of 5.

    Would a 2Ghz Athlon64 give 10?
    Would a 2Ghz Opteron give 20?

    Im assuming that would be correct as Athlon 64 can run 2 32bit things together and Opereron is 2 64 bit cores.

    Would i be correct with these assumptions?

    The short answer is "No ", incorrect.
