perc2.sys corrupt

    Hi, I am working on a win xp pro.. checked the hd and boot sectors are ok. on boot up it says the perc2.sys file is corrupt so won't boot.. I can boot up with the reatogo xpe cd fine but sys won't run chkdsk or fixboot commands.. what next??? thanks.

    Please update your System Details.

    Can you plugin your hard disk in a working computer & run chkdsk from there ?
