    My question is (hopefully) simple.
Will a Pentium 4 chip with FSB 800 run on a motherboard which only supports FSB 533? Most components are backwards compatible but I'm not sure about processors. The processor is the same type (ie. socket 478 Northwood 0.13um).
Would the bios auto detect (of processor fsb) get confused and refuse to detect the processor?
If it assists the motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-8PE800 PRO.

    Thanks
