Pendrive become PROTECT

Folks long time missing in meditation at yeong-eatery.com now back with a headache
For no apparent reason my 32G pendrive can't be formatted or delete, only allow reading.
There is no physical button to protect or undo.
What can be the problem? Web suggestion to go to properties > edit to find on/off option not available. Appreciate your views.

 

I have tried 1. diskpart > remove write protect 2. Try RegEdit HHEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies but don't see "Right Protect Value" to set to zero

 

Have you tried another USB Port?
Is it visible in Disc Management?
Have you tried it in another Computer? If it doesn't show --- it may be faulty.

 

Same happened to me a while back, it is kaput

 

If it is faulty, check with the manufacturer (if it's a named brand) to see if they have any recovery software.

 

Thanks guys for sharing. Kaput is the way is the eventuality since partition can't be deleted reporting that a particular essential sector is faulty. Must last hope is to contact the producer. The good thing is all recording is permanently intact
