    Hi.

In Windows XP, when I would be in Windows Explorer, I could see a thumbnail image of each PDF file.

In Windows 7, I can't figure out how to get thumbnail image to show. All that shows is the PDF.

Is Windows 7 not allowing this? I am running Windows 7 Home Edition.

    Thanks.

Control Panel > Folder Options > View tab > Uncheck Always show icons, never thumbnails.

    See this thread .....

Cannot view PDF thumbnails in Win7 Explorer

Alternatively in Windows Explorer use the Preview Pane - clicking on a pdf with the Preview Pane open shows the first page of the pdf.

Preview pane button is adjacent to the Help button in the top right of the window.

1st, Arie, yes it is Windows 7 64 bit. You gave a good explanation. I wonder if Adobe will update to 64 bit?

Tony, I do have the icons showing, just used to saying thumbnails because that's what we see with out software (embroidery designs show as thumbnails).

PeteC. I didn't even know about the preview pane. Fairly new to Windows 7 and I like a lot of it, but confused with some of it, especially when I have trouble finding what I am looking for.

Thank you. I appreciate you prompt reply and help.

Now, again, I don't know how to post that this is resolved.
