    How do I remove "pctptt.exe" file and stop the computer from "beeping" at start up?

    Hello apxitekt

    This is a utility for a PcTel Modem. If you are not using dialup it can be diabled.

    If you never use a dialup
    Go into Device manager and find the Modem and just set it to Disabled

    The download http://www.mlin.net/StartupCPL.shtml

    Use that to uncheck the pctptt.exe

    Then reboot.
