Gateway refuses to advise me for free on what model PCMCIA 6-Pin Firewire card would be compatible with my laptop. Can any geeks help me here?

Thanks Wildfire. I don't know what cards I'm interested in. That's why I posted this. I had hoped that Gateway would offer some as accessories, but they want to charge me for advice on something I'm gonna buy from them. How much $en$e does that make? So, I haven't looked at any. I'll check your link out.

BTW, the laptop uses Vista Home Prem. (64-Bit), AMD Turion X2.

    Thanks,
    GPL

Are you certain that your laptop doesn't already have a firewire port? Most all laptops made in last 4 years do have one.

POSITIVE! They put an HDMI port on instead. Which that's kinda neat. In fact, that's actually 1 of the main reasons I bought this model cuz at the time I was considering using that feature to troubleshoot home theater issues.

I checked out the Express cards. So why are they so much more expensive than the PCMCIA? Also, do I understand that the PCMCIA form doesn't support VISTA? I couldn't find any PCMCIA cards that did.
