PC Wont See New SDRAM

    Hey

    I Recently decided to upgrade my memory im running Windows XP Professional an 256MB RAM i brought 2X512MB RAM but wen i install them all the computer does is hang on the Checking NVRAM screen? the memory works coz i tested it in other comps

    but wen i put the old ram back in the computer works fine?

    any advice would be greatly appreciated

    Are you sure that the RAM is compatible with your motherboard ? That is the first thing to establish.

    To determine what RAM is compatible log onto www.crucial.com and work through their memory selector.

    If you don't know the make/model of your board Everest will tell you.
