pc restarts after start up

hi, my pc restarts after start up on around 1 in 10 occasions .
also on start up shared documents opens up automaticly.
no reason to believe the 2 are linked but started occuring around the same time .
i have tried a restore but to no avail . please someone help .

 

Probably there is a system crash. To stop it from restarting automatically after such a crash so you can see the blue screen with info on what caused the crash, go to control panel, system advanced tab, in the startup and recovery section click on settings, uncheck the box 'Automatically restart', click Ok, apply, OK.

When you next have a crash, you should get the blue screen (BSOD) which will give the error code and possibly the name of the driver that caused the crash.

as for the shared docs opening at start up, any clue ?.
