Pc No display n Bios information

    hi i m facing problem with p4 when i turn on no display n no bios information appear even no beep but hard disk light is running n it's running n cd rom as well can open it also. what's the problem i remove Ram n on then it beep bcs of no ram then i again put back ram n on back but no sound n display how to detect what's problem i thought bios or display ? is it... display is built in mother board if display problem at least
    computer run n show the bios m i right plz any clarify the problem with my pc

    Hi z4u,
    If the LED for the hard disk drive stays on, disconnect the cables to the HDD. You should then be able to go into the BIOS, but I would expect that the HDD no longer works.

    okey mattman i just d/c cable from hdd then i on back nothing happen no screen display n even no beep when i on the computer n no keyboad light flash
    where is the problem?..
    i upluged the ram n on pc computer beeping then i put back n on back but i can see bios screen or startup screen as u said i tried d/c hdd n on pc same thing..
    processor also working hdd n power light both r on..
    ?...how to check .

    Substitute another monitor or try the monitor on another computer. Need to locate the problem.

    yeah sparrow i tried with another monitor same problem but in 1st when i plug with another monitor little bios latters appear blurr not clear then i restarted again
    but after that i can't see any thing it just appear one time only so how?..
    after that i tried again with aother monitor same problem nothing happen
    any idea..:eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:

    What is the history behind the problem?

    Was the pc working fine one day and then all of a sudden.....

    Is this a new build?

    Did you manke ANY type of cahnge to the pc?

    okey it's not new build pc but it's bit old p4 i format n reinstall windows n it works for a month then virus infect my computer n windows not working properly after that i tried to reinstall n format but i can't see the display screen n bios information when i on the pc

    Take out any PCI cards, disconnect USB, remove anything that is not needed for startup. You only need the CPU, RAM and graphics (built-in). Even try a different mouse and keyboard.

    If that does not work, disconnect the power and remove the CMOS battery (the silver coin-like battery on the motherboard) for about 30 minutes. It should not affect the situation, but get a new battery for it.
