Resolved PC monitors and consoles

    i have a question before i buy a console question is:
    instead of using a tv can i plug a PC monitor into a Xbox or PS3 and use it like a tv ?

    if you wondering why i would want to do this its because the 'WIFE' she dont want me using our tv

    Hi TatenDaOne. Yes you can. Make sure the monitor has an HDMI output and includes speakers if you are going to be hooking it up to a console.

    It should be as easy as plugging it into the console. You may have to fiddle with the resolution a little bit to get it how you want it but that is all you would need to do to get it set up properly.

    Now wait! What do you mean by, "like a TV "?

    If you mean so you can watch TV shows as you would over an antenna or cable connection, Netflix, etc., then you still need some method of getting the TV content to the game console in a usable form.

    If you mean can you use a monitor instead of a TV to play games or watch DVD/BR with your consoles, then no problem - with the proper connections as noted by Evan.
