CA eTrust gives you two elevation prompts when you start your PC :(

Not nice, according to MS they are working with vendors to reduce these prompts.

Hmm. I'm not a great fan of CA (since I worked for a boss that wanted to go with CA solutions because they served him ostrich steaks in their canteen rather than due to the merits of the solutions they were offering. That seemed to sum up CA: slick marketing and sales pitch, less priority on the product), but have had good experiences with Trend before. So the choice of PC-Cillin was easy for me and it seems to work fine.

I only installed CA because of their free offer for Vista. I wanted to get rid of the balloon that I didn't have A/V installed. I have no need for A/V on my system.

How does that work? How can you run without A/V?

Because I never get infected

    :D

All my email is scanned on our server. Not only for Viruses, but also for Spam and Phishing.

For the rest, I will hardly open any attachments, even from "friends" (or should that be specially from "friends "?), although most of the people that know me have given up on sending me attachments with 'jokes' & 'funny video's'.

The key words then where "on my system "!

Of course that does leave open viruses/malware coming in from malicious websites.

I guess I enjoy the freedom to be a little lazy that A/V gives me :D

Well, they are welcome... I have never been to a malicious Web site if it wasn't intentional (then I use one of my OS'ses running in VPC to check out stuff).
