Has anyone had any experience with pc bug doctor, looks pretty good, but the license is $30/month. So....you have 30 days to use it a fix all your pcs and then the next time you need it, say, six months from now, then you need to pay another $30. Somehow that doesn't seem right, what if they aren't in business 6mo from now? Cyn

    Hi cynindesign

Call me pessimistic, but I don't think any program can make this claim.
"PC Bug Doctor will repair every error on your Computer anytime you need it"

    It's probably a good program, but 30.00:eek:
There's a lot of freeware out there that I imagine would do the
same things PC Bug Doctor does.

It looks like a registry cleaner.

Much better to get a reg cleaner that also attempts to fix errors (Advanced Registry Optimizer, Norton WinDoctor) and a registry "defragger" or "compressor" which basically rebuilds the registry while removing empty space (included with Advanced Registry Optimizer, free NTregopt, Norton Utilities).

For the rest, as PeteC said, come to this board :p

Thanks for the info, I had searched this board for the error and didn't find it, was the only reason I went outside of it.

I'll look into the software, Cyn

BTW, there is a long file name error, can't find where I wrote the info down, the error shows on the scan at bootup time and says to run scandisk in windows but to date, windows doesn't find a problem.

I didn't think it was possible, but the advanced registry optimizer has made it worse. I'm having errors with vxd VMM(01) and the article I posted earlier is "supposed" to fix that. Cyn

Can you give details of the error, like what it says and when it occurs? Also, what machine and operating system?
