I was browsing free sms sites months ago, then i received an email requesting payment of £95.00. I went onto AOL live help and said that the company rae just making it up by using my IP address, but AOL have dynamic IP Adresses so everytime you log on/off it changes so others can have the one you had before. They sent me an E-mail agai requesting a lower payment of £75.00. If i did not pay, they would take mt to court, but i jut did as i had been advised and ignored them. I never used their service and never will do. They then sent me an email on chrismas day sayin i have 3 weeks to pay or they will take me to court, but how could they? I just browsed their site, nothing else. What should i do. (I did block their email address as advised aswel.)

I would continue to ignore them till they go away. Not much else you can do.

I did email and report it to the police but no reply. Are they just trying to scam me? Is there anyway they could take me to court. All they have is my email address and at the time IP Address. They sent me what they thought was my address, but it was totally fake:p

Only way they can take you to court and win is if they have a valid legal reason to.

It sounds like a scare tactic to me...They are probably just hoping you pay them off to leave you alone.

... and if you do ... ... they'll be back!

Do you have a spam filter? If so, mark them as "baddies "!
