I have noticed that whenever I do a SFC a file called Patch.exe seems to want to update itself to todays date. It seems that this just started a few weeks ago. Could this be some kind of virus? Is this a legit file? Thanks for any feedback.

There are several nasties currently using a file of this name. See this thread and this article.

Thanks for the quick response. It was a file from Trend Micro House Call. With all the viruses going around I was a little worried. I have been getting in the e-mail the W32.KlezH@mm virus a lot lately. NAV 2001 has stopped them all. Thanks again.

I found the file in windows, right clicked, properties, and it said Trend Micro- House Call. I did run the House Call virus check online so I believe it is OK. Thanks for your response.

    Hmmm. You're right.

How strange - one would have assumed that maybe, in view of the negative assocations, Trend would have re-named this file!

    Still, good news nevertheless :)
