Can a password be set up for an individual file? If so, how?

One way; use Winzip to zip the file and you can password protect the zipped file. You must do it in the following order or it won't work; create a new empty Winzip file; select OPTIONS > PASSWORD > and enter your chosen Password (confirm it when asked) ; add any file/files you want protected to this new archive. The password protection MUST be in place before the file/files are added to the archive. That's it, nobody can open the files without the password or a knowledge of cracking the system. Don't forget to delete the original unzipped file/files.

    :)
