password protect e-mail sent

Hi All,

I was wondering if there was a way to put a password on an e-mail so that only the person that knows it can read it. I would like to send a confidential e-mail but this is a shared computer and do not want anyone except for the person I am sending it to to read it.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

So according to these two articles it can't be done. Am I understanding it properly and there is no way to go about it?

Anne--I do not use Outlook. The way I read those references you (or more importantly your friend) can password protect the .pst folder so that only person can open it and read messages.
There are third party programs (including encryption programs)
