Is it possible to password protect a certain file or folder in Windows 2000? I could use permissions but a lot of times I leave my PC logged in under my account.

Is this possible without 3rd party software?

I don't know of any native way to do it with 2K - and especially not a folder. For some types of files like word documents you could use the feature of the application but that is not what it sound like you want to do.
