I guess when it rains it really pours.

Got a second problem. Iam running NS V.7.01 that I downloaded from Sillydogs site, installed it and it works fine except that last night I went into my Preferences and then tried to set up a *New Helper Application* . I wanted to do this to use NS to send to and receive WinRar files from friends who use that program as I kept getting errors when I tried to open a Winrar file that a friend had sent me. I tried a dozen times and it just would not work, I could save the attachement but it would not open in Winrar for some reason. So I thought creating a helper application might solve my problem but I can't create a New Helper Application in NS for anything at all . It always throws up the follwing error at me.

So,Does anyone know why it will not let me create a new helper application and what this error means , more so how do you correct this so I can create new helper applications within NS?

    Hi Vanilla Ice,

I'm on it! I get the same error when clicking on the "New" tab? Not sure why, but I'm trying to find out for both of us.

It may be a Preference setting somewhere that prohibits adding to the Helper Applications. I've never seen this error before, and I'll do my best to get an answer.

    patch available

    Sorry, my mistake.

One of the comments got cut of (without beginning tag)

A patch for quick fix is available here.
(Save the file to disk, don't open it)
Then copy the file (comm.jar) to
    Program Files/Netscape/Netscape 7/chrome
(OR your Netscape 7's chrome folder)

An updated Streamline 7.01 will be available very soon.

Well, sorry, it was my fault, and next time I will hold the testing period longer.

Netscape 7.01 Streamline and Navigator 7.01 Stand-alone are now both updated.

Glad this site and Silly Dogs are available

Just read the message about sparceing *spell check*. Just downloaded the fix. I plan to include a link from our web site for this site and SillyDog's. Its not a large site, about 105 pages and 360 some images, but we get an avarage of 1000 hits per month. If there are no objections, links should be up by tonight. I think the more people who have NS running good the better.
