Hi everyone...I have a rather large paging file on my system, and could use the space. I have more than enough RAM to run ALL applications I use simultaneously, along with the Aero and 3D features enabled. The highest I've gotten it up to was 1.3GB used out of 2GB installed. Should I just get rid of the paging file, or are there any other uses for the it, besides for systems without enough RAM? Are there any risks involved in removing the it?

    Thank you everyone. :)

Some applications are written to use the page file. When it isn't found-> BOOM, you crash:eek:

    Hi CrunchDude,

It's like Steve R Jones said. You don't gain anything by removing the pagefile except a little extra space. But what's that compared to a stable system ;)
you may wanna read this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pagefile

Thanks guys...Paging file will remain. If I could only get this stupid Netgear Access Point to work as a repeater.
