packfile space

    Hi all I have red faction installed on my xp computer, When downloading maps from their website,and trying to install sometimes I get error out of packfile space. What is packfile space? anything I can do to fix this?

    A packfile is a specialized sort of compressed file. But they way they are using the term I'd guess there are some sort of limits connected with the way the game is written.

    This page has a link to their Forum and that would be the best place to ask unless they have some sort of on-line help files that deal with this.
