    Hey all

Trying to use ghost for multicasting...

Has worked fine in the past but not on this machine..

Im having problems connecting to the server machine and i think its something to do with the NIC.

When i load the packet driver eg... rtspkt 0x7e

it returns a mac address of FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF which is a broadcast address isnt it?

I have tried with two different cards one Realtek 8139 and one Realtek 8029AS and removed any other network cards to avoid conflicts.

    Any Ideas?

I know that some software allows a session change of the MAC via ifconfig or similar but I have never been convinced that is either necessary or safe. And since the device's real MAC is in firmware, you are looking at having to tweak it after every reboot.

Best option if you can is to stop the packet driver from making the change.

If that isn't possible, try checking via ipconfig /all to get a valid MAC address from another device and after loading the packet driver, re-set your card to the same but change the last digit and see if things will work then.
