Would anyone know if I can download Outlook w/o IE (free)? and will it run by itself w/o IE? It seems that it can't be done. If you know where and how, let me know.

    Do you mean Outlook EXPRESS?

Outlook comes as part of Office and isn't free.

    Correction, Outlook Express

Do I need Express & IE in order for them to work together or can I get Express separate?

IE is so embededinto your system I wouldn't try to remove it. It can be done..But why not simply ignore that its there. It hardly takes up any hard drive space.

Outlook Express is an integrated part of I.E. As such I don't believe you can get one without the other. I would agree with Steve, if IE isn't your cup of tea, but you still want to use OE, just ignore IE and use some other browser.

    :D

... becouse it uses IE's rendering engine... so no, you can't have OE without IE.... But like others said, you can ignore IE....
