My anti-virus email scanner (AVG) attaches a "certificate.txt" to messages, which shows in Outlook with the paper-clip symbol beside those messages. This is annoying because I want to be able to identify messages in my Inbox that have real attachments, ones that are attached by the sender. Can I get some guidance on how to resolve this by excluding the scanner attachment but showing if there is a received attachment?

While writing, when I used to use Outlook Express, a symbol was applied to messages in the Inbox to which I had replied. I liked this. Can this be replicated in Outlook?

    Thanks, Bill

Open up AVG/Tools/Advanced Settings/E-mail Scanner/Certification and go from there.

It is - by default - screenshot from 2007. I can find no setting to enable/disable.

I don't have those symbols.. Must have installed in some peculiar way. I spent considerable trial and error to arrive at an Outlook page as similar as possible to my default OE page. I would like to have them. Bill
