I currently use about 30 Rules, and for the most part, they redirect my email to the desired folders. But, recently, I have noticed that some emails are duplicated with one going into the correct folder and the other going in some other folder, apparently at random. Or, an email, with no rule for it, goes into a random folder instead of the Inbox, with no duplication.
I've checked and rechecked my rules but have no clue as to why Outlook has started doing this. Has anyone run across this one before?

My Outlook version is: 11.6568.6568 SP2

    Ouch. That sounds nasty.

Haven't heard of it but I would suggest you try a repair of Office and see if that fixes things. If not, you may have to blow away your rules and create them again.

I had part of that problem once, the duplicating e-mails part. The solution to that one is to put a "stop processing additional rules" or whatever it is, at the end of each rule. Somehow, some of your e-mails are falling under rules that you don't want them to do. This will stop that from happening.

Also, you may want to re-arrange the order in which your rules are processed. I know, this shouldn't make much difference, but it does.

I would also perform a thorough review of all of my rules, and consolidate, or delete extra ones if I could.

I don't think you want to completely re-do all your rules, but that is always an option.

    Good Luck!
