Outlook Rules, based on excel spreadsheet data

    Is it possible to create rules in outlook based on data from an excel spreadsheet? Reason being, the spreadsheet data changes daily. 500 emails a day is just too much to be rummaging through trying to sort by hand.

    I can't answer your question as I don't use Outlook :) However I think your thread will be better placed in the Outlook forum and have moved it there.

    If you're asking about Outlook looking inside a spreadsheet for rule information then no.

    Thanks Pete, sorry about that.

    So no to the spreadsheet data. Have any idea's on ways I could transfer that data from the spreadsheet to something different, then do that. Or any other options at all. Or does Outlook rules code not accept any external data at all?

    Might help if you start over with the question.
    You get 500 emails a day and you need to do what with them?

    I need to create a rule to send emails to different folders, based on info from an excel spreadsheet that changes daily.

    This is in Outlook 2003.
