    Hi
I am new to Outlook Express 6, and for the life of my, I cannot find where to disable that password prompt each time I check my mail.

Is it possible to check my mail without punching in a password???
I have scoured all options but have come up empty...

    Any guru's out there?

    Thanks to anyone who responds!!!

    Hi

I tried that...doesn't work....when I load up Outlook, the user id is filled in, the password area requires me to fill it in, and the "check-box" underneath that states " remember password" is grey and does not allow me to check it.

    Accounts/Properties/Server/Remember Password ineffective.

    Thanks for your help!!

I don't know if this will work but might as IE & OE are tied together. In IE go to Tools>Internet Options>Content>Autocomplete>click on "Clear Passwords "

Also have a look and see what is "checked" above in the "Use Autocomplete for" section and check or uncheck what you want or need.

In your Dial-up networking properties, make sure that Client for Microsoft Networks is installed.

I have not been able to resolve this issue. I have been researching without avail.

http://windows-help.net/WindowsXP/troub-01.htm seems to address this problem but does not correct it in my case.

I am on DSL (not dial-up) and am running XP home. My ISP is Manitoba Telecom Services (even they are unable to solve this).

Please, any geru's ?..I would and have appreciated all efforts!

Kevin, how does one login as admin in XP? I was hoping to see this.

I've never used "Home ", but I think you boot the computer into Safe Mode. Then you can log in as Administrator.
