outlook mail logs off when sending mail

Hi! I have 2 problems with outlook mail. If I am already signed on net and try to open outlook it boots me off the net. Outlook also boots me off when I try to send mail. Any ideas or help would be appreciated. Thank You, Peace868

Welcome to the boards!
Have you gone to tools..then options...then under the mail set up tab......looked at your settings?
Perhaps you've got it set to hang up after a send/ recieve?

Daizy is right on track, and just below that - verify that is set to share the internet connection with Internet Explore..

 

Looks like your modem setting are set to trun off after downloading or sending. I think thats the second tab in the modem settings. Or is it in the mail account???
I would change the setting on your modem.

 

First thank you so much for your quick responses. this problem has been irritating Daizy I had checked that road and did so again after your suggestion it wasnt that. I think herb might be on to something. My husband had changed our modem cause the other one went bezerk and when looking through it looks to be in the second port but in all honesty this problem started when I moved over a year ago. again thanks

 

Hi profgab101. I didnt mean to leave you out in my last response. I did look as you suggested and it is set to share. thanks for the suggestion.

 

i can send mail I went to my mail. hit tools, then accounts, clicked on my server listed, then connections ( nothing was in box) added my server then tried to send mail. it worked without booting me...imagine that Then I closed outlook and turned it on again while on net and no boot. thank you everyone

daisy, thanks for your help. I had the problem of getting shut down when I sent/received mail and found the setting in options was off as you suggested in this thread.
