I have Outlook Express and while I can get all attachments in the form of Word or Excel that I forward to my home office, OE keeps deleting .jpg files and even other website attachments that others or even myself have sent to my home office computer. I don't know how to keep that from happening. My husband has Incredimail on his computer and I can forward the very same attachments and they open just fine. How can I fix this problem?

    Welcome to the boards!
Open outlook Express.........go up to tools...then options...then look under the security tab. Take the tick out of "Do not allow attachments.......... "

.jpg attachments not received by Incredimail

Thanks for the quick response. In the meantime, I decided to download the free Incredimail because my husband was able to receive the .jpg in question through Incredimail. However, even after I downloaded that e-mail software I still can't get the .jpg attachment like he can. Under Tools, Options, Security, there is no place to uncheck or check "don't send suspicious attachments ". Got any other ideas? Couldn't contact Incredimail for help - and their FAQs don't cover my issue with .jpg attachments. Thanks

You're actually looking for " Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened, that could potentially be a virus "........under tools.....then options and under your security tab.

    Question for Daizy :
Im serious--I just got OE6 to work with our isp, first time.
OE won't even download or show a attachement if that box is checked right

tools, options, security tab,[ ] do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potenialy be a virus.

when it should read [X] check this box and you cannot even see attachments ,,,,
Because any attachment is potenialy a virus,

I do have a good av program that does have a plugin for OE
and besides I dont open anything when sender isnt known, and even then if in doubt we would first view on the server..then keep as new and recieve with oe,,,
