Upgraded both the desktop and laptop to Win 10 over the weekend - upgrade went relatively smoothly although one or two apps needed reinstalling.

However I subsequently found that neither PC would send email from Outlook 2007 - received email fine.

After some trawling of the Internet this seemed to be a common problem and fortunately a solution posted worked for me on both PC's.

Run sfc /scannow from an elevated command prompt.

Report indicated that corrupt files had been fixed.

    Cool. Thanks for that.

I have been waiting for my system to upgrade to W10 and I too have Outlook 2007 so will see if I have the problem, and if so, will try your fix.

That said, did you try running Office Diagnostics from Outlook's Help menu first?

To be honest I was not aware of that facility - headed straight for Google as usual :) However none of the threads I read on various forums suggested that option.

BTW I forced the download of Win 10 using the Media Creation Tool as mentioned in the email from MS - You’ve reserved Windows 10 "“ what’s next? .....

I did that on another machine with no problems but for my main system, I like to do what most users (including my clients) will do so I have a better idea of where they are coming from should they have any problems.

So, "hurry up and wait" is what I am doing and after 24+ years in the military, I am a pro at that! ;)
