A friend is having a problem with Outlook Express.

The sent items folder causes outlook to freeze. All other aspects of outlook work fine.

I know there is such thing as a free lunch (!) but are there any free tools or a way of emptying the sent items folder?

    thank you - Smudger

The sent items are store in one file located in XP:

    C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR USER NAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{E5C4B58E-0072-4A0E-BA21-DD32793F2322}\Microsoft\Outlook Express

You can easily delete the sent items.dbx file. It'll get recreated next time you send something.
