I have a problem and a question regarding Outlook Express Ver. 6 running with Windows Professional 2000:

Problem: Some of my emails are coming in are going into the deleted file instead of the inbox. Can anyone tell me how to stop this? I've tried making a rule but nothing is solved.

Question: Is there any way to have a password for a particular file in OE? If you have two people using the same computer and you have a password for each one but once they open up their mail and put it in their named file there is no privacy.

Hope someone can solve my problem and answer my question. Thank you.

Rose, check the names in the "Block Sender List." If you have selected their names in the Block Sender section, the email will go directly to the Deleted File. Maybe you did not intend to do so and was inadvertently selected.

Your other question I don't know the answer!

    Rose--
    1) Email going into deleted items folder. Could be several reasons. You may have set up OE Tools|Message Rules to do it. Or OE Message|Block Sender. Or you may have an antivirus (or some other third party email management) program that thinks certain email is spam based on its settings or how you have set it up. Or maybe your Inbox contains too many messages.
    2) Try setting up separate identities in OE File|Identities.

    Re: the privacy issue

If all accounts require a username & password and each one is different, then unless someone made all the users part of the administrators group on the PC, PersonA should not be able to work with mail belonging to PersonB.

    Give more details please.

With your next thread, please following the forum Posting rules and use a meaningful subject as Rule #3 says. Something like New mail goes directly to deleted would have been good and would allow someone searching for an answer to the same problem to possibly find your thread.
