I'm just about to upgrade Outlook Express to Outlook (2003) on an XP computer.

I've done this several times before without a problem, but on this occasion there's more than one identity in Outlook Express.

Anyone know how this affects the result? I mean - how can the multiple identities be accessed in Outlook after the transfer?

    Thanks for reading this :)

Best guess - you have two sets of DBX files... as in two Inbox.dbx ... You could probably import two times and have all mails from both identities end up in the one Inbox in Outlook.

Thanks Steve. I think that'd end up with a whole bunch of mail, that should've remained separate, getting mixed together.

I think Arie might have called it right. It probably means doing a conversion to Outlook for every Outlook Express identity, which would result in a separate PST file being created for each identity. Than, as Arie suggested, each PST file would need a different Outlook profile.

If no-one else has any ideas, that's how I'll do it.

    Cheers :)

I speed read too many times and missed the "how can the multiple identities be accessed in Outlook after the transfer?" part.... So yes, Aries method should work.
