I recently downloaded Internet Explorer 6 but kept Outlook Express 5. Now everytime I use Outlook Express and try to send or receive emails or switch identities I get the following information/error message:

    Internet Explorer
    ?
This page has an unspecified potential security flaw. Would you like to continue?
    Yes No

And I have to click on Yes in order to be able to keep using Outlook Express.

If anyone can help me somehow stop this message appearing I would greatly appreciate it. I would prefer to not have to download Outlook Express 6 as I don't know what that will do to my current Address Book and Stored Emails.

    Thank You
    Limor

The information on this page includes a workaround to stop the message popping up.

Although the instructions are aimed at a specific site, you can check those settings to see what can be changed on your computer.

Upgrading OE will leave your mail and address book in tact.

    Dear Miz,

    Thank you for this.

I am not sure what to type in in the Add this Web site to the Zone area.

I tried typing in my incoming and outgoing mail servers. But this hasn't solved the problem - I still get the same error message.

    Can you advise me here?

    Thank you
    Limor

P.S. Will downloading Outlook Express 6 eliminate the problem?

Outlook Express 6 is a part of Internet Explorer so I'm surprised OE didn't upgrade when you got IE 6. Check in OE under Help>About to make sure it didn't upgrade to version 6.

Instead of putting anything into the zone area, go back into IE>Tools>Internet Options>Security tab and click on the "Default" button. That will set all the security levels to default which may solve the problem you're having.
