    Helping neighbor with computer:

She has 4 identities for OE 6. She has no idea which was original main identity. One identity is used as a primary. Two are not used at all as she does not remember the passwords. The fourth identity is the most recent. Can I do the following without causing major havoc?

    1) Since it is the most recent, use Identity Manager & remove the fourth identity. In regedit, delete this identity using directions found at Inside Outlook Express FAQ. I understand from another forum post that I have to show hidden folders to follow the directions successfully.

    2) On each of the unused identities, uncheck the require password box. This should disable them.

This should leave the primary identity functioning without having to manually reinstall OE.

    WILL THIS WORK?

I have the directions you are referencing. It tells how but doesn't give any idea of impact. Think I'll give it a try anyway.
    Thanks
