Outlook Express - Email Photos don't display

When I receive email all the pictures are x'd out. Contacted EArthlink Support and they said to check that the Internet Option, Advanced, Multimedia show pictures box was checked. It was. They sent me a photograph which displayed properly and said the problem was with the senders. I know these emails used to display images just fine; they are monthly banking notices, etc. . Can anyone help me with this problem so I can experience the true narvana of outlook express? Thanks for any help....Michelle
