Outlook Express could not be started because MSOE.DLL could not be loaded

    I am running a windows 98 o/s with the windows 2000 office update. whenever i try to open outlook express the "Outlook Express could not be started because MSOE.DLL could not be loaded" error is shown. The address book had been uninstalled but I have reinstalled this several times and the problem has still occoured. I have done all of the advice suggested on the Microsoft website but nothing has worked. Does anyone have any suggestions???

    _asdf_ - Welcome to the Board :)

    Try a Repair of IE/OE ....

    Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > MS Internet Explorer > Remove and in the pop up dialogue box select Repair.
