Outlook Express Color Font does not work

When I type a message to be sent..every thing works in the font but color...the B & I U worked ok...I've tried everything but color doesn't work....Using XP Home, IE 7 but since went back to IE 6
didn't help....even typed a message in office 2003 word, worked there but when I pasted the message in Outlook Express it changed back to black

Does the same thing when some one send me a message using all kinds of font, I get everything but the color
