My wife uses OE6 on a several month old laptop with XP Pro. In the beginning, everything worked like on her old WIN98 desktop - no problems.
Then suddenly, a month or two ago, she could not receive any mail (or send) without shutting off ZA. The error she gets is "Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection......(etc)..Error Number 0x800CCC0F ". We also use Norton Systems Works 2003, but I don't like her having to shut out ZA to receive her mail - especially since we are on cable.
ZA has the green check marks all the way across for Outlook Express and I've tried to find out why this occurs on their web site - but to no avail.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

XP and ZA seem to not play nicely together. Best advice I can offer is to change firewalls. None of the others seem to cause the problems that ZA does with this particular OS.

I had the same problem. ZA worked for a few months on XP and then went psychotic.

ZA isn't just a simple uninstall, either. There are some good instructions on getting rid of ZA on this page.

I now use Sygate's free firewall. It's been working without a problem for about a year.
