I accidently deleted a folder from Outlook Express yesterday. Luckily, I had a copy of it elsewhere. I have tried to re-import this one folder back into Outlook Express with no luck.

    I have tried two things:

1 Copy the DBX file into the store folder. However, Outlook Express does not recognise it and the folder will not come up in my folder list.

2 Go through the import process using the DBX file and the "Folders.dbx" file. However, again, Outlook Express will not see my DBX file and does not recognise it.

Please can someone advise me as to how I can reimport this DBX back into Outlook Express.

    Thank you. :)

Assuming that it was a user created folder that was deleted from within Outlook Express, copying back the *.dbx file will not suffice. Prior to copying it back, you should, from within OE, recreate the folder with the exact same name in the exact same location. When that is done, close OE, copy the original folder to the storage location and when asked to replace > YES.

This should work ... ... I hope.
