outlook express address book recovery?

    Hi Guys,
    Is there a way that i can recovery my outlook express address book
    after format?Is there some sort of program that will try to recover only outlook express contact please?

    Nope.

    Well, yes. But you have to hire a data recovery professional, and they cost.

    I don't wanna hire someone.
    I can do it but is there a decent app that will do the job.

    There is an outside chance that you may be able to recover using a file recovery program - Google for these - IF you only made a quick format and IF you have not loaded anything onto the drive since formatting which may well have overwritten the disk space previously occupied by the .wab file. If you made a full format the chances are reduced that commonly available software will do the job.

    Moral here is that all important data should be backed up regularly to an external source.

    simond--I suggest Restoration as the file recovery program
    http://www.webattack.com/get/restoration.html
    One reason is that it can be downloaded to a floppy and run from there. As PeteC has said you want to avoid writing to your hard drive.
