I'm using XP Pro & outlook express (more details available if necessary)

I use 2 identities ( "main identity" & "John ") on Outlook Express and until today they each had their own accounts.

Today, on switching identities from "John" to "main ID" I got a message which was something like "messages in outbox do not have a valid address - use default address?) to which I replied yes.

On switching back to "John" loads of stuff was downloaded from the server for "Main ID ".

Further investigation showed that any changes in either "JOHN" or "MAIN ID" were reflected in both.

What did I do wrong? How can I fox it?

In each identity, click on tools, accounts, mail tab, properties, and double check all settings. Something may have changed.

    Thanks everyone,

I managed to fix this by doing - nothing at all!

No idea how or why the problem started or stopped
