    How did you lose it?

    Do you keep regular backups?

    How large was your mailbox?

You still haven't answered the first question...

Did someone delete the emails in error or did they disappear after a system crash etc, did you notice anything that may help us to help you?

    Close OE.

Go to the OE store folder:
    c:\documents & settings\username\local settings\application data\identities\long-number\microsoft\outlook express

Copy the Inbox.dbx to somewhere else on your comp, i.e. My Documents.
    Rename to yyyy-mm-dd-Inbox.dbx.
    Delete the current Inbox.dbx.

Start OE and it will automatically create a new Inbox.
Go to File > Import & Export. Browse for yyyy-mm-dd-Inbox.dbx and import those messages into the Inbox folder.

If the above doesn't work the old inbox is corrupted too badly.
