Using Outlook Express 6, all of a sudden, when I get an e-mail with a link to an address, just clicking on it won't direct me to the desired web site. Instead I have to cut & paste the address to my browser, Firefox. I am using AVG Free Edition as my virus protector & Zone Alarm as my firewall. Thinking back, the problem may have started around the time I switched to AVG, but I find no setting in the AVG program to address this.

    Any suggestions or solutions?

    Thanks

To try the easiest thing first, go to Start>Run and type "regsvr32 urlmon.dll" (without the quotes), click OK. You should get a message that it was successful.

If that doesn't fix it, the next easiest: Click Here and on the page that opens, scroll down to the list "regsvr32" commands and run them.

If that doesn't fix it, scroll back up on that page to the line, "You may have a broken entry in file associations" and do the File Types edits there.

Finally, try the "iexplore /rereg" command.
