Everytime I get an email, it give me two copies. For example, if I get 12 emails, it turns it into 24. How do I fix this?

I tried both ways, what was said in the post, and the support link. Neither helped, and there aren't even any files named Hotmail*.dbx, or do I have the additional option (unless I was looking in the wrong place). Would I have to remake my hotmail account and set the POP settings like said in the post?

    You do this at Hotmail.com

    Click on the Option's Link

On the Options page, click POP Mail Retrieval Settings under Additional Options.
Select the Download new messages only check box for each POP account you have, and then click OK.
