    Hi ,

I am running Windows 98 and installed the new VS 6.0 awhile back. Recently I got the bright idea of checking the DO NOT ALLOW ATTACHMENTS THAT COULD BE A VIRUS TO BE OPENED in the security options. Now every email attachment that I recieve is blocked from being opened and I cant UNCHECK the option in the security options. Anyone have any ideas. Ive checked everything I know to check. All help would be appreciated. Sheldon

Did you make any changes in Internet Explorer's security settings too?

    From OE's help files:
"You can adjust the security level of these and other zones in Internet Explorer. The security settings that you make in Internet Explorer also apply to Outlook Express. In Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options, and then adjust your settings on the Security tab. "

Close OE. Open Regedit and navigate to:

    HK_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Outlook Express

In the right-hand pane, delete the value "BlockExeAttachments ".
