    Hi,

Can anyone tell me if there is a simple way to determine if there are any duplicates in the Outlook data file (Outlook.pst)? If there are, can they be removed easily?

Also I notice that the Outlook.pst file is significantly larger than a backup.pst file that is created when an export is performed of all Outlook data! Do these two files not contain the same data (more or less)?

    Regards Farmer Jo

    Open folder list.
right click the folder then peorperties.
lower corner you see advanced button. Click it.
Compact the folder. It will become smaller.
Works in XP and 2003. Not sure in 2000/98/97
