    Hi,

I have a PC with Windows XP Professional on it which is configured with several accounts that I use for work. Most accounts are administrative but one is limited.

I have noticed for some time now that when I log out one of the administrator accounts and login in to the limited account and then logout from the limited account and log back into the original administrator account, Outlook no longer connects to my ISP's mail servers.

So far the only way I have found to get the email working again is to power cycle the PC.

Can anyone tell me why this happens and if there is a way to prevent this?

    Regards PCFarmer

Which verions of Outlook or is it Outlook Express?

Can you connect to the internet via Internet Explorer?

If you click the Send/Receive button in Outlook, you should get some sort of error message that is packed full of error codes that can easily be search on.
