I did a clean install of Windows 10 and had to reinstall Outlook Home 2010.
I have this folder called Outlook Data File listed above my list of folders such as inbox etc.

Can I hide it somehow or simply delete it?

That's the MAIN folder heading... Mine is the name of the account which is my main email address.

The default email address is listed as mine under change existing accounts. The Outlook Data folder isn't even listed there?? It just show up in the navigation pane. I don't have this file in my other PC with Outlook 2010

But you have something similar for the MAIN folder name.

I would leave it alone. But if you really want to - you could Delete the account and set it back up.

The only way I see to 'delete' it is to reinstall Outlook. I don't really want to do that so I'll just minimize the folders under it and leave it alone. Thanks.

Retiredlearner thanks for the link. The option to right click and 'close' the file is greyed out.
