outlook asking for dial up connection

    after i have collected my email and gone off line, if i open an email with a link, i always get the dial up connection box asking me to connect. i find this v. irritating, how can i stop this?

    In IE, tools, options, connections. "Never dial" setting.

    By going offline do you mean you just disconnect your dialup connection or do you disconnect and then go offline in OE? By this i mean, after you've disconnected your connection, in OE you should also click on file\work offline. If you do this it shouldn't try to dial up.
